In our church, we have an organized unit of Methodist Women, Women's Connection, whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Our younger ladies have an email type communication and meet to complete their projects. They make May baskets for shut-ins, share "Heart Sisters", and sponsor Christmas 'mailboxes' to save on postage for all church members. They sponsor bake sales twice a year to help raise money for their unit. We also have a Valentine Luncheon for Seniors in our church and community; selling pecans to sponsor this event. We also have an auction to sponsor our projects.
Women's Connection has a bazaar yearly on the last Saturday in October to finance our mission program.
